I am African American mentally with Japanese tendencies and a Parisian sensibility — Lupe Fiasco

Thé Cérémonie

is an homage to French and Japanese-style salons—a platform for deep-dive dialogues with my heroes and their heroes on the subject of spiritual wealth and the chrysalis between practice to transcendence. Hosted globally in private homes and culturally significant institutions, each gathering includes meditation, conversation, performance, and a shared dinner.

Tracey Ryans

is a cultural alchemist, co-producer of Radiohead’s Hamlet opera, founder of Thé Cérémonie, and a longtime student of Thích Nhất Hạnh. He serves on the board of the Brooklyn Zen Center and has spent decades exploring the space where math and magic merge.

He began importing ceremonial Japanese green tea in 2010, a practitioner of Qigong, Tai Chi, the I-Ching, and archery. Tracey sits two ten-day Vipassana retreats each year. He has held board roles at The Kitchen, Powerhouse Arts, The Netherlands Danse Theater and National Black Theatre, and Istanbul’74.
